Perfidious One, Goodbye
Comment:
At the bequest of Mixxer, for the ""Never Too Much..." exhibit. A little history of the song (and some of the artists) may be found at http://www.spaceagepop.com/latin.htm Special respect to Laurel Aitken, Jamaican/Cubano ska king, who died in July. Any other suggestions, love to hear um...(Oh yeah, thank you Chris Foss for the "Perfidious One" starship image.)(PS: how do you make "returns" in the comment box? Cheers!)Thanks! To you my heart cries out "perfidia"
for I found you, the love of my life,
in somebody else's arms
your eyesare echoing perfidia
forgetful of our promise of love,
you're sharing another's charms
with a sad lament, my dreams
have faded like a broken melody;
while the gods of love look down and laugh
at what romantic fools we mortals be
and yet I know my love was not for you
and so I'll take it back with a sigh,
Perfidious one, good-bye.

Feedback:
I yi yi yi yi yi yi yi -
Three Mustaphas, King Tubby,& Julie London! & who's this "Phylis Dillon," maybe the love child of Phylis Diller & Bob Dylan??
Okay, you've got me hooked, I'm a glutton for it - can we do another trade, involving this perfidy??

most amazing, do you have all these in your collection ? if so very impressive.
This is great. I'd LOVE to 3 Mustaphas doing Perfidia. I have Brave Combo doing Perfidia (it's on Musical Varieties). I feel very cool to have something that isn't on this mix.
Oh, and you can use the letter "P" between a pair or angle brackets (the ones that look like less-than and more-than symbols) to put in line breaks.

iTunes has quite a few of them available if you want to hear what they sound like. (I'm gonna try my first paragraph. Wish me luck!)
I have no idea what this is about - but I do have a Julie London album - I'm going to have to check out if this track is on it.
Hey Mike - Looks terrific! Interesting crop of artists to say the least.
This one is going straight into the Exhibit - although that is perhaps a dubious honor... ;-)
