My favorites from the lesser-known tracks. [album art full size]small.jpg)
Feedback:
In another age I worked at a groovy pub. It was disco five nights a week. On Sunday there was no dancing allowed and people would bring their own albums for listening purposes only. I loved this night.
It was here that I first heard RUSH. "By-Tor And The Snow Dog" to be specific. Well, ears were opened, conversations were struck up - yes, we really nailed musical analysis in those days -- and loose friendships ensued. RUSH became a staple of our dance-free Sundays.
Time, as it must, trickled by and everyone faded to their own course. I was never able to settle, thank Cantona, on any particular musical form. Therefore, poor old RUSH faded into my dusty cranial library.
So here we are in the 21st century and along comes Art Of The Mix with a set of duplicate keys. The library is re-opened and deep within its recesses "Fly By Night" lays waiting.
"Lesser-known", you say. I know nothing of RUSH in the eighties so this will be a whole new experience -- always a good thing.
As ever your cover art is of the highest quality.
A RUSH mix compiled by shunn789 is clearly very personal, and all the more enjoyable and intriguing for that.
Ah but, whither now? I am filled with expectation.

I guess this is the era Rush I know best (the only Rush I know?). Looks like a trip down memory lane.
Back in the day (i.e., 20 years ago), I used to like Rush. (At least I admit it.) And "Making Memories," "Lakeside Park," and "Circumstances" were always favorites.
there are many good tunes here. i have to admit, though - i went back and listened to 2112 through permanent waves. they didn't move me the way they used to. still, they were great in concert in the early 80s - that show meant a lot to me.
