Comment:

Paul McCartney is my favorite musical artist. After enjoying his latest album 'Chaos and Creation In The Backyard' and seeing him live at Madison Square Garden last week, it occurred to me how many songs (and albums), he's put out since 1970 that have been overlooked. In my opinion, the 'Wingspan' 2CD compilation from 2001, only scratches the surface of his post-Beatles output. His solo catalogue is a tresaure trove of songs, most of which were unfairly written off into oblivion over the years. I feel that the key to understanding Paul's music is to let it grow on you -- his music is best appreciated with repeated listenings. That being said, I decided to do a seek and search mission through all of my Macca CDs and compile some tracks that deserve to be revisited. I avoided any of the material already featured on 'Wingspan,' and went for some of the other buried gems. By the time I was done listing everything, I had over 40 songs! So, this is my attempt at Volume One. Volume Two will follow shortly :-)

Great choices for *my* favorite artist in music history. Feel free to check out my three-volume Paul set from the summer of 2001 (People pass me by on my imaginary street)--I think you'll find a lot of overlap.

Excellent.Too many people think John Lennon was the best.
