I'm blanking on Rose Garden, but everything else I remember like it was only 38 (???) years ago. Nice collection.
An exellent period of time it seems. Every track on this mix (that i know) is a classic. I'm also unaware of the Rose Garden track but i shall seek it out.
Great slice of music history as always, Joe. I remember my parents giving me a portable cassette recorder (a huge deal) and recording Different Drum and many of these songs through the mic off the AM radio on our Curtis Mathes stereo. As a matter of fact, that must have been my very first mix tape! (One very minor nit-pick: the master guitar legend spelled it: Jimi Hendrix)
Thx for the note about Rose Garden song. I listened to the 30-sec clip on iTunes and still didn't remember it. But it sounded good.
Wow!
Really nice and educational.
