I understand all destructive urges: The '70s, Pt. 1
Comment:
The first volume of my '70s series, which is designed as a four-part companion piece to my four-part '60s series posted in the summer of '04. Tracks were picked for each disc based upon what mood I was in on the day that the mix was made... in other words, some of my absolute favorite '70s artists may not show up until disc 4. Title from the pen of Verlaine--Tom Verlaine, that is.Feedback:
damn fine of course, love all
Great selections.
After a taste of this I'm thinking I need all four volumes! Very nice Rob.
I'm having kind of a burning airlines kind of day myself. Great strategy for a mix, doing a song a day.
Another good one Rob.
I'm working down the list- here are Television! Phew!
Now THIS is my kind of 70's mix!!!
I like it. Hope you include some Free in the series.
Nice one. Great collection.
Your '70s series is wonderful because it juxtaposes so many bands that probably wouldn't be found together otherwise. Nice work.
You can't go wrong with any of this stuff. It's all solid!
Nice selections. The Black Sabbath track seems inspired.
What a task but what a mix too!
Varied and unpredictable. And, of course, I could listen to "Burning Airlines" every day of my life and never tire of it.
Now THIS is the '70s. And crap like "Chevy Van" is nowhere in sight. :-)
