Comment:

Third in a series of imaginary soundtracks to nonexistent low-budget indie films with cliched road trips through the underbelly of America. As with the others, it's an effort to find music with a cinematic ambience that flows together and supports some sort of rambling narrative as you listen. Volume One was an eclectic mix of weirdness, and Volume Two was more predominantly underspoken Americana with a mild psychedelic twinge; this one sticks closer to the formula of the second, mostly low & mid-tempo Americana and mild psychedelic edges, but with a few jarring moments for the necessary drama and contrast. I don't think it came out nearly as solid as the first two, but it did give me a chance to hit some tunes I wouldn't ordinarily put on a mix.

Great concept and selections. What I can say has been said in the past, so I'll limit myself in giving this the thumbs up.

Great! This is very much up my street, and a really lovely concept. There are too many nice tracks to mention them all, but hey, I'll have a go - My Morning Jacket, Lambcop, Preston School Of Industry, Quasi, Iron and Wine, Galaxie 500... well, you get the idea! ;)
