My response to a mix my friend Jonathan sent me of what he's listening to these days. Assembling it was odd-- this has probably been the least musically focused year of my life. Without the college indie kids, the music nerd boyfriends, updates on Epitonic, Rasputin Music, KWCW, or (in the case of the last few months) a working radio in my car, my consumption of new music has slowed to a crawl. Also, my snobbery is pretty much dead (and tentatively I say good riddance to it). But it's tailored pretty effectively to his tastes and the majority of what's on it is new to me in the last year, and what's more, I like it a whole hell of a lot.
