Comment:

Was thinking of making an all "Hits from Hell" mix, but couldn't bring myself to create something so unlistenable. It turned out that all but three songs (in 1971) were from the even years for the 1966-72 span used. Also I picked about twice as many songs in '66 (nine songs) than in any other year for that period. The Louie Louie number by John Belushi was the only one not in the 1966-72 range, being issued in 1978. The chart positions given are what the songs peaked at (rather than where they stood at the time of Halloween) and the years are for the halloween year heard (it may have peaked the year after).
