Comment:
Make me a mix she says. Whaddya want? Got any James Blunt? She asks. I wish, I say, You'd stop using rhyming slang. Anyway so this is it.Intermittently linked (for my amusement) but not in my usual 'what a clever wank I am' methology. Most tracks pulled from random discs that were lying haphazardly round my desk which either makes for a good mix or a rather slovenly one. Time wise this has taken over 12 hours which is far too long by my standards and goes to prive that mixing for someone else is a pain in the arse & pain in the head. Of course, it'll be worth it if she likes it. Enjoy...well you might even if she doesn't.
Feedback:
Looks great. Johnny Halliday doing Smokie is a tough one, though. PS: International Pony and the Frank Popp Ensemble are from Germany, btw. ;)
Despite the fact that Little Esther ain't so little anymore, and the Boys have lost a bit of their Beastiness, this is still a mighty fine mix!
Apologies to Mr. Mohr - my mistakes have been ammended.
PURE UNADULTERATED BRILLIANCE (at least I hope).
Nice I would love to trade some time. Just drop me a line :-)
I do love your mixes - totally all over the shop and yet beautifully linked (even if by your admission it is not up to your usual standard). . . and yeah, sometimes mixing for somebody else is a pain. Hope you get your end away!
Brilliant.
Mmmmmmmmmoooooonshake!
Me thinks you will get the girl....
Bring it on!
This looks really cool.
Good one.
what a great mix, I got the Boyce & Hart a few weeks bac, did the Monkees ever record that tune ? Theres lots of other faves of mine here. I haven't heard another Vers of the 'Lion & the Cucumber', does it still feature a Sitar ?
I love the Taste of Honey, and a very funky female bassist too !

My desk has nothing but work and a half drunk can of Diet Pepsi.
I wanna sit where you're sittin'.
Another fine one...not to familiar with the selections, just the artists.
But, what a collection of artists!

Very, very nice. I'm always partial to a bit of Francoise Hardy, and that's one of my favourite Beasties tracks; it goes perfectly with T.Rex too, it must be said!
Cool mix. Definitely not slovenly, although I should say that slovenly isn't necessarily bad.
My bed has nothing but Gogol's "Dead Souls" and a half drunk bottle of maker's mark. I wanna lie where you're lyin'. Another fine one indeed... love the Little Esther.
