Okay, so I've used most of the songs on here on previous mixes before but for once I'm not concerned with ensuring new-ness and originality. I got the sudden urge the other day to make a happy, romantic mix borne of all the indie pop I love. In other words, not something over-the-top, but somewhat twee, somewhat reserved, something that makes you want to dance in giddy celebration but doesn't actually burst out too often. And of course as I was compiling it, the tracks got steadily more melancholy towards the end, not that any of them are downright sad, but there is a bit more wistfulness in parts of the last half. I guess I just can't help doing that, no matter how focused I try to be...anyway, come next Valentine's Day, I'm gonna have to present this to my girlfriend so we can make an exciting mini-evening of it, dancing in our living room like the lame-o lovey-dovey nerds that we are :)
