I have a love hate thing with Nirvana at times - but when it comes down to it - I think they are one of my most favorite bands of all time. After watching the movie LAST DAYS it reopenned my fasination with Kurt and his music and so I decided to make my ultimate Nirvana mix. All the live songs are from the Muddy Banks CD (nothing fromt he Unplugged CD) and all except Teen Spirit and Come As You Are are from the original albums - it drove me nuts that they remixed pretty much everything to make it sound more produced. Since I've read so many times that Kurt thought Nevermind was overly produced as it was - I wanted to pay my respects to him by not putting anything that was produced any more after his death. I figure Teen Spirit and Come As You Are came through the greatest hits producing pretty much untouched so it was safe to use them - plus those are 'masterpieces' that I don't think they'd have the balls to tamper with any further. I wrote and wrote about this on my LJ blog so even though I want to write more here - I already put it somewhere and I don't need to re-post it. Take care and enjoy!
