Comment:

My sister & I attempted to relive a small part of our youth by catching the Bauhaus reunion last month. Though Peter Murphy's stage presence was rather subdued (I later heard he was nursing a cold) & Daniel Ash bore an odd resemblance to Brenda from Six Feet Under, they still sounded fantastic. Being a weeknight we couldn't stay out as late as we once would have. To make up for having to split the after show party early here's a tightly packed double disc set of what I'd be spinning for my own goth/glam shindig.

the music looks great (esp joy division, alice, bush tetras, cramps, magazine, ESG, tho for a certain ratio i prefer 'shack up') but i'm really hung up on that cover. that's michelle, right? i'd come to your punky goth shindig in a heartbeat.

Oh my goth! Splendid assortment of stuff to make even the most sullen goth boy or girl crack a smile. Nice selections from A CeRTain Ratio, The Glove and Tones on Tail.

Pass me a clove cigarette and lets talk about your childhood over drinks in a moody, brooding bar in the Windy City; somewhere where a jukebox may be playing this stuff and we'll wait for her to stride in...she won't saunter.
