Comment:

A trade with the Mighty Orchid. I originally planned to tell the heart-warming story of five plastic animals trying to make their way across a Sheffield steel foundry to the safety of the River Don. And the hilarious adventures they have on their way. However, constructing any kind of the narrative thread was starting to do my head in so I'll just describe the tunes instead: 1. Medieval Reggae 2. UK grime aristocrat gets stripped 3. Brainy electronica kids produce soulful lovers' rock shock 4. El Tiburon is The Shark, an allegory for pernicious Americanisation of the Latin lands (or maybe it's just a song about sharks) 5. Gal Costa's early expose of the kidnapped camel jockeys 6. Trippy peanut butter boyz 7. Mrs Miles gets defiled 8. The song that started the 1946 Sapphic Tap Craze 9. Unhinged visionary at large 10. Edan is my man 11. Cristal Discotheque 12. Elis and Uncle H have a lark live in Montreux 13. Bookish Jazz Class 14. Ellingtonia in excelsis 15. West african shamanism 16. Township jive before Simon pasteurised it 17. That most New York of songs 18. Dub Conference Vol.1, where it all begins and ends 19. STILL mesmerises 20. Fellow Manc done good 21. Recorded perhaps in a Wicklow barn shortly after the Easter Rising 22. Happy Holidays with Charlie and Ira.

Jeez, Orchid is "Mighty" and I'm the guy who gets saddled with all the Nazi imagery... ;-) Super-cool mix and notes.

This mix is simply too good to be true, so I can't help but think that someone is playing a trick on me. For example, how'd you know that Lady Sovereign track has been my absolute favorite for a fortnight and that I'm blissfully stuck on it all day long? The little farm animals melt my heart... they are the cutest things I've ever seen and I'm seriously concerned about their well-being. Please assure me they made it safely to the River Don, or I will lose sleep.

Looks like you and Orchid got a good thing going, as you're each getting amazingly good mixes. I used to have those same oddly colored plastic animals when I was a kid. For the longest time I thought pigs were blue.
