Comment:

My dad recently made me a mix od late 50's music, which I loved, so I thought for Christmas I'd make him a mix of some of my favorite bands/artists that I thought he'd also like. Alot of these bands can easily be traced to artists that he loved and grew up with in terms of style, so I hope he'll like it. He's a music freak and really enjoys finding new artists to listen to. He's one of those guys who takes lists Rolling Stone makes to Tower with him, and he's hip to some awesome, classic new bands. I was surprised that he went out and picked The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie out all on his own. So yes. I think it's a good intro to gentle indie music, with one electronica song thrown in cause I couldn't resist.
