These are tracks I'll remember from 2005. I tried to steer clear from radio tunes, although I couldn't resist that track from The Caesars. It sounds like a lost oldie to me. I also tried to pull from my list of the best albums of 2005, but a few didn't make it because of sequencing concerns. I couldn't find a way to work in M83 ---whose "Before the Dawns Heals Us" was No. 3 on my list --- and a few others. I made sure they were at least represented on the cover art.

All tracks on this mix were on albums released or re-released in 2005. In Ulrich Schnauss' case, his album "Far Away Trains Passing By" had its U.S. release this year.
