empty spaces: ambient, glitch, & sub-atomic dub forms; assembled (7/14's)
from borrowed slices of ethereal space (trades received over my tenure here).
Contributors:

Warren Carney,

12vman,

musicgnome,
APK &

Junior D (who now records under the moniker,
'Municiple')...with yours truly tossing in the remaining seven entries and serving as
editor-in-chief. Juiced & spruced via Roxio. The playlist, in keeping with the title's stark
theme, is attached as an inner centerfold (a return to 3M's Spraymount...after
all these years). Happy '06!

Very smooth look to this, Gene, thanks for the inclusion. Nice to see Krill Minima, Off the Sky, the Boddy-Rich/DiN track & that experimental Cascone piece. "In Praise of Darkness" is the title of a book of poems by Jorg Luis Borges.
He wrote them when going blind towards the end of his life. Borges is the author who wrote the short story "The Circular Ruins" ;-)

Its a subtle little track. Glad you liked it.

Been listening to this mix a lot the past couple of weeks. It filled some of my empty spaces. Thanks Gene.

Thanks George. This one is actually a "landmark" mix in that
my kids (8 & 10) can actually listen to it, when they they might
chance a venture into the home office, without the usual "Dad, this
sounds spooky" comments (as is often the case with glitch & drone).
My wife even enjoyed it the other day, while we were riding in the car (or at least she didn't ask me to switch to a random light-rock radio station
[anything-but-ambient...please!])
;-].

Another fine selection - slow gentle sounds predominate, with small dubsounds and distant percussion occasionally breaking through the surface of the mix.....

Check new Jan Jelinek album 'Kosmicher Pitch' on Scape Records, I think he has as fine a body of work in electronic music as any artist over last 4-5 years.
