Amen to The Raveonettes. And it's pleasing to see Gwen Stefani on here. AOTM doesn't make much room for the most mainstream music styles (rightly so in many cases), but she deserves recognition. Also great to see New Pornos (I'm surprised at the frequent use of that particular song on this site), "Galvanize", British Sea Power (I'd nearly forgotten about them in my yearly review), and Aracde Fire. Haven't heard that Knife song, but I'll have to since it's your favorite of all these

At last we have the privilege of sharing sammyg's 2005 top twenty - oh the excitement. I have listened to this mix repeatedly over the last few days. repeatedly, I say. Therefore, and without further preamble, let me say, I love it, I just love it! Music - bloody hell!

after 2 listens, tracks 4|5|13 jump out as favorites, but the whole thing is wonderful. I don't keep up too well, so this is an excellent "CliffsNotes" guide to some of the recent best. thanks!
