Thanks to Stephin Merritt for the title, and to both him and Jens Lekman for inspiring my first mix of 2006. Most of it is divinely pretty indie pop, with some peppy rock numbers included (mostly concentrated in that one passage early on; I shoulda spaced them out more) because they are the salt and pepper for the meal that is my life - not good for me, but they help make it taste oh so much better. All in all, music continues to be a joy...
