My PLP (platonic-life-partner) Manda born and raised in Oklahoma has a date with a chick-hipster born and raised in NYC. She whimpered when the c-h mentioned her fave bands.. "you know, bikini kill, rooney, rolling stones, the murmurs, postal service, ani." This is her one-disc preparation course, filled with grooves and beats and plenty of ass-shakers/fist-pumpers. Title from, obviously, volcano girls. Missing a lot of classics - sleater-kinney, l7, bratmobile... but i wanted to eeeaasse her in. hence the addition of oh so catchy indie-pop.. oh gosh how i do hate genres.
