Comment:
Seems I had a harder time than I thought I might to create a mix of songs from this season of '68. Whereas I used 15 songs from the summer of '67 in previous mixes before starting on a mix for that specific time period, I found that I had used 24 songs from the summer of '68 period already on prior mixes. Still managed to come up with a mix that didn't use any from previous mixes, with the exception of track 27 (which charted in both the summer of '67 & '68).Feedback:
Great mix you got here RJ. Love the Amboy Dukes and Otis Redding picks. And are you with me in the opinion that the Merrilee Rush version of Angel is the best recording of that track?
Glad to hear that you appreciate my efforts sammyg123. I agree that the tracks you point out are extra special, and Merrilee Rush, in my opinion, receives the crown for her version of Angel in the Morning. Oh, and I checked out your latest mix, and it's looking mighty entertaining!
I love every one of these!---except Tiny Tim's.I still remember seeing him on Johnny Carson singing this with his little banjo and I can't help but cringe.
Marvin and Tammi always do it for me.
