Comment:
Notes: Soho is the red light district of London. The late Mary Millington was a porn star - her appearances included a cameo in The Great R'n' Roll Swindle. The edits are mine. I can't find a date for the flexi's release - no doubt Gobi could tell you ; Julie Dawn Cole (the original Veruca Salt) is a long time family friend. She is the only child star from the film to have continued acting. Her work includes BBC's Angels, Poldark, ITV's Emmerdale Farm as well as fitness expert on ITV's This Morning. Trumpton was a children's TV show populated by puppets. Characters included a Miss Lovelace! Enjoy. Picture: Recent picture of Julie.
Feedback:
Sorry mate, cannot help - my wife through my back catalogue away! Great opening track - and always loved the Trumpton Riots (and I seem to remember they did another about a train driver taking cocaine into Chigley). Overall a lot of fun . . . .
excuse my grammar - it is very early here. For 'through', please read 'threw'. Dimwit that I am.
Mind-bending.
Yup. Got my vote.
ahhhh yes, nice work as usual!!!!
Hot stuff.
Wigging out with Mary Millington! Great stuff.
Great opening track and nice Saint Etienne, Felix & Ann Peebles picks. Bang on as always.
This is f'n nutty! This is just a riot!
Pew, Pew, Barney, McGrue Cuthbert , Dibble, Grub oh the memories of Trumpton. Oh The memories of Trumpton; Mary Milington too for that matter. re the mix as ever Dom superb.
this is a fine mix. you're quite the globe-trotting time-traveller. please tell Julie Dawn Cole that I had quite a crush on her when I was eight and I always found it distressing when she went down the garbage chute.
I know very little here, but it certainly looks interesting. I do love the Peebles, Babyshambles, Half Man and Fall picks, though.
Human League is to Franz Ferdinand as Julie Dawn Cole is to Julia Winter as Gene Wilder is to Johnny Depp as Mel Stuart is to Tim Burton. In other words, the original is always better. GREAT MIX.
Oh the madness - this is wonderful. The HMHB track is PERFECT. I love the whole thing!
