Comment:
Another one for my favorite wee'un... the companion to Moonbeam On a Cat's Ear (this title nicked from another children's book by the wonderful poet Dennis Lee). Putting it together brought back a lot of memories of my own aunt, listening to stories and music on vinyl at her house (pulled a lot of vinyl for this), and the special treat of her 78 collection at the cottage in Muskoka Bay, a peaceful place that was a step back in time. I want to give all of that to my little guy! Rod McKuen is such a stinker but I think he's funny (and there's a calliope in it). I was tempted to use Bongwater's cover of Porpoise Song, but I don't want my nephew talking about bongwater when he starts enunciating.Feedback:
hey - this looks like a ton o' fun.
"we got us a good'un!!" ...and that Muses song is one of the best. you are the cool aunt.
I've always been scared of clowns and Rod McKuen, but other than that this looks great! Maybe my musical tastes are infantile, but I would very much like to hear this and the companion volume . . . any chance of arranging a trade?
"Now that you are become an Aunt, you are a person of some consequence & must excite great Interest whatever you do. I have always maintained the importance of Aunts as much as possible. "

I can take out the offending Mr. Clownshoes...
Can't believe I missed this. It's a little piece of brilliant! Kudos
Wow! What a classic! Bon-wawa! Any time you wanna arrange a trade, I'd be more than happy. Thank you for the kind words as well.
I really love that Trip Shakespeare song. I've always wanted to put it on a mix, but to me it's a tricky one. Putting it in the right order of a line-up that insists upon a certain mood was never easy for me to do. I also have an affinity for product packaging. I could probably lose hours at the grocery store if I get carried away.
Using Kronos Quartet, I bow to you.
... if I don't get some, I think I'm going to die. Wanna orchestrate a trade, perhaps.
Very, very, very sweet and cool. I like this one even better than its companion. So what's the chance of you having a CD burner before July?
