Comment:

Music that I am insanely in love with. It will mean nothing to anyone else, but the grouping of these songs is permanently ingrained into my psyche. That fabulously happy dance pop Grates track will always be remembered alongside that majestically stormy Velvet Underground opus, etc.

The Poison pick is hilarious, but earnest. Awesome Neko track and I have a soft spot for the Van Halen. Great closer too! One question though, is the Billy Idol song really Billy Idol or is it Simple Minds?

It's Billy Idol's later cover. He was actually the first one approached to record the song for "The Breakfast Club", but he passed and Simple Minds were hired instead. Theirs is still definitive, but his captures its spirit nearly as well (imo)

Bryan Ferry was originally offered 'Don't You..', see http://www.simplymindless.com/simple_minds.htmThe final 5 on this mix look like they'd go well with each other..

Sorry. He was at least offered it before S.M., though

I can see myself loving the second half, the first half it's a little less familiar for me. Nice work, Mike!

Great stuff, and I love Julieta Venegas. I was on holiday in Brazil a few years ago when this was everywhere.

Nice, my wife loves Julieta Venegas, I'd like to hear how this all falls together (+like a mattress balances on a bottle of wine?)
