Comment:
For That Girl (TM), the Queen of my world. The Rheostatics are included by her request, although that's not her name (nor is it Felicity, for that matter). Thanks to joey de vivre for the Raymond Scott track and to SwankQueen for hipping me to said track. Title by Edwyn Collins.Feedback:
Cool. I get to be the first one to comment...this looks absolutely lovely and all that good stuff. I couldn't be happier for you, my friend. Love that Spacemen 3 track a bunch (among many others on here).
Just wonderful. So many great picks. Roxy, Big Star,Orange Juice. Great Spacemen 3 pick. And I'll have to hunt down that Appendix out choice..
Looks like a pleasant mood piece, to my ears anyways. Few things can make a mix happier than a Raymond Scott track. I never knew that The Doors covered that Beat Happening song.
hey rob, you made me a mix four or 5 years ago that i still listen to...and you still have it, i see. i love that gothic archies track. and the tom waits, of course.
Coolness.
wow, i never knew delroy wilson done a tune called 'cool operator' though i suppose it makes sense (clash-wmihp)?
uh oh, it's that elusive rob conroy romantic mix that crawls out of the woodworks every now & then -- looks wonderful as usual, but the VU, lennon, tom waits (orphans is great, by the way), big star, pixies & smokey robinson are really making this work for me.
This does look quite cool, and here's a RC mix I can actually comment on, as I KNOW a good deal of these, 9 included!
I'm glad for you. the stretch 13-17 are wonderful
Make Up! Glad to see them! Who said love is all about sadness and tears?
Splendid! Quite a muse my friend.
There oughtta be a law that simply playing "My Life Is Right" for someone guarantees their eternal devotion. Actually, maybe there is; I haven't checked.
Another lovely, makes-you-feel-all-warm-and-fuzzy-inside mix :) Mr. Kulcher is pretty much spot on with the Big Star comment, and I love the John Lennon too. Great work again.
you ole softie....
Nice. Like the Waits into Raymond Scott into the Gothic Archies triple header.
A happy mix is a great mix...
Goodness abounds.
Who knew Ray Scott would be such great boinking music? Love this mix almost as much as I adore the mixer!
terrific, Mr. Conroy. Aztec Camera, Smokey Robinson, Style Council, Tom Waits and Pixies all make some of my favorite sounds.
when a mix of happiness sounds this good, therapists should worry their job security ...
Ah you ole softy you; Thank the lord you don't have Ken Dodd's 'Happiness' on here!
THIS is the good one.
