Comment:

A hastily thrown together pot pourri of perky pop to play in the kitchen as I cook ce soir. Nothing too obscure, self-indulgent or hard to digest. This is as unpretentious as this fella gets. I do enjoy mixing for mixing's sake. I only hope my chicken and chorizo pasta dish turns out as well. Audio on it's way

This is a little spooky - I'm in the middle of putting together the least pretentious mix I've made all year so far (it could probably be convincingly argued that that's not saying much) and just returned from the CD shelf in order to see if that Vanderslice track would work well next. I hope it does, because that's a great song. As is that Tihista track, as is everything else I know here. If the dinner turns out only half as good as this mix, you'll be in for a very delicious meal.

The Real Tuesday Weld and Chorizo .... somehow that just works. The 6-7 pairing looks inspired too. Nicely done Barry.

Looks tasty, Barry. It is good to have a pot pourri of perky pop to play as you are in your chair chewing chopped chicken and chorizo with chestnuts.

Go on with your hastily thrown together bad self. Hold the chicken, whilst I burn me lugs to this baby. Yay, Barry!p.s. I dedicate track 20 to Lille FC -- tossers!

File me with Little Spencer Boys- mostly in the dark here- but always eager to learn from you. That Spencer Kingman kid you sent me not long ago is one of my favorite new cds, btw.

tracks 5-8, #11 and the two closers do it for me especially, but the entire thing flows real nice. that Kate Bush song brings back lots of memories from way back when. great work, Barry - and please cc me on the recipe.

Dancing in the kitchen is a cool thing to do . . . . track 1 is a great opener to any mix . . . . (and allegedley, one can roll a spliff in exact synch with the track . . . allegedly . . .)

Hope you mix as well in the kitchen as you do on the CD burner. Lots of tasty tidbits here -- TPE, the Clean, Longet, MAzarin... It's all about the proper ingredients.

Lovely stuff Barry - I'm a bit late on board here so I do apologise. Love the Kate Bush/Lloyd Cole bit, the Claudine Longet and the Half Man Half Biscuit. And I love chorizo, by the way. Can I come round for dinner some time?

Man, I uesde to love Northside as a Long Haired Baggy trousered 14 year Old Manc. I had 'My Rising Star' on an incredibly warped 12" single. I can't hear the 'proper' version without thinking it sounds wrong nowadays! Love the 7-11 stretch along with the final 6, infact just about everything here. Killer opener as well...

Oh, I absolutely love that Flotation Toy Warning track. Don't really care for the rest of the album though. The mix, though, is real good. That Kate Bush to Cloud Cult stretch is particularly good.

Chicken and chorizo? You really take the mixing thing serious. Thanks for the download.
