31. Chris Barber('s) Jazz Band - Chinatown (Instrumental)
There are a few reasons for this mix. One is I haven't done a '50s mix in a while. Another is that I have a sister who's birthday is in a few days and she was born in '57. The last reason is that Joey de Vivre slighted that decade in one of his last posts of '40s tunes. He may be right for most of that decade, but I think the last four years were an exception. This mix would naturally end after track 24, which is a tough act to follow, but I had more tunes to use and managed to come up with a few good ones after that as well.As I think you can tell, '57 was, for the most part, a rockin' good year! Hope you enjoy this compilation as much as I enjoyed putting it together. As usual, the mix is available by clicking the link on the first song title.

The best part about the '50s was it led to the '60s. As you show here though, there was some good music.
