76:51("Can't this [treadmill] go any faster?")This one's just for fun. I wanted another mix for Nordic Track season...so, while we were moving my LP/CD collection into a newly built closet last weekend (because my wife says the collection tends to, uhm, "spread" about the house : D ), I started tagging albums & reminiscing: a song here, a song there, some digital tinkering...and now there's another adrenalin-laced disc with which to counter caloric intake - there's just something about grinding guitar & drum beats that makes muscles respond better (but please consult your physician before engaging in any strenuous activity on that 17-22 stretch).
1/3 ripped vinyl + one from Radiohead's October 10th download party. Apologies for having 2 tracks by them, but the middle part of "The Bends" has always reminded me of Mr. Lennon's Walrus.
Dedicated to sammyg123 for his bravery & valor in the face of unrelenting classical music listening. When next in London town, I needs must purvey for him a pint (or 2)...of his own choosing.
Feedback:
i'm sure everybody here can relate with lugging around their music collections, but i'm not sure they always end up with such a stellar result - this is awesome, i'm especially digging the radiohead, beatles, bowie, clash, lemonheads, tom petty, elvis costello & zeppelin tracks - loving the new radiohead as well
Thanks Anthony (the middle initial of g.a.b., btw). Ya' gotta' keep mama happy and when albums & CD's
are strewn about the house (neatly, from my perspective ;-] )...she ain't. Glad you like it.
Btw, Illustrator geek that I am & finding no artwork in the Radiohead d/l...I created a full-size .PDF cover,
after the web-site image, for "In Rainbows". It's available for download,
here.

Looky, looky, looky what we've got here. Unexpected material, expected high quality. Yes, yes, yes my good friend. This is a keeper. Mm-hmm.
Nice! The School of Fish, The The, and Crowded House tracks are long-time favorites of mine.
Many thanks for the dedication Gene. This looks fantastic, 'specially love that 2-8 bit & The Cranes & Clash.. Hope you enjoyed mixing away from your norm... By the way, should you ever be in London Town, you may need to buy a train ticket to Manchester and take the 185 mile journey oop north to get us that pint!
I will keep detailed notes on this, in case it comes about, Sam...luckily, this map comes with a scale...
I had to rub my eyes and re-focus when I read the BTO lead track. Quite the change up Gene and a great looking mix.
Wow.... some great songs here. Really like the...well, a lot of it. I've had "Dogs of Lust" stuck in my head for the past two days, so thanks for encouraging that. Thanks also for the ambient link, I'll have to check it out when I've got a little time.
Thanks for the comments...
It's a good one to run or track to, Mesh. I burned up 430 something calories in 28 minutes on the Nordic Track, Monday, with this on headphones. And George, this is what happens when "quiet" folk try "loud"
(I can't listen to that ambient crap 24/7 ;- )

I missed this one, it does look like fun. Plenty of favorites here...
Whilst I agree that this is an entertaining, and mighty fine at that, mix; I am non-plussed, nay enviously baffled by this "newly built closet"!My house is full, I mean completely full; that is full in its truest sense. There is no more space, not a cubic centimetre, nothing, nada, zero in the room-to-build-more-storage-areas department. It gives me no pleasure to discover that, despite your best efforts g.a.b. old fellow, you have, as yet been unable to achieve the fullness to which I alluded earlier.Where I to learn that you still have the capacity to create a further closet at some point in the future, I will not be best pleased. These important matters aside, I am thoroughly enamoured of your most untypical selections. I may even find it in my heart to forgive your "newly built closet" gaffe...High five! but that's it for the time being. I will certainly be watching this space...
Thank you, dearest Mr.Yeates, I appreciate the feedback...
...and glad (yea, thankful) beyond measure am I that I did not mention the lift used to take
one to the new closet which is located at the very tip-top` of the l@b...in the solarium.
