Comment:

77:11 Microsound (ambient sub-genre). Coarser, grittier, molecular structures and sound fragments with tinges of melody interspersed or set to a pattern representing a beat. It can incorporate found sounds but not always. This, a reworking of a favorite-on-cassette mix from 2002. I grabbed the jewel-case on my way out the door and, strangely, while there was a tape inside...it wasn't the mix that was supposed to be there. Keeping the original play-list in mind, I refitted the CD version with some updated glitch, dub & soft-tech soundz...and away we go.

What -- no Frampton! Nonetheless, it sounds amazing, and that's the important part, oh yes.

Huh? I must be getting old. I distinctly remember embedding a sample (reversed), between tracks 9 & 10, of Peter languidly picking @ his fret string, whilst tuning, during a studio session for Bowie's "Never Let Me Down"...surely you must have heard that?!?

Your mixes always have so much atmosphere. They don't provide images for me, but enable my mind to wander while listening, taking me to places I had forgotten about, moments in time I hadn't realized I had retained in memory.

Skipper - my thoughts exactly (re: the free-flow of ideas/memories). I simply don't get the same result with "Under My Thumb"...as worthy a rock-n-roll ballad it might be.

played this at work today, but nobody could tell... though my colleagues did all seem more relaxed while it was playing. in any case, I could hear it just fine - and I liked that Alio Die/Nick Parkin track especially. a very nice work.

Not sure my PC likes Divshare.. Tried to download this a couple of days ago but it stopped halfway through. Trying again now but it's verrry slow.. For now I'll just have to close my eyes and imagine how good this mix is! I'm sure it's wonderful..

I loved the original and this one is a more than worthy reworking.(Sammy, I have my suspicions about DivShare, it seems to impose a throttle after a number of downloads - looks like you don't get something for nothing after all.)
