Comment:

Yes, this mini mix is all there is for the period of time chosen. I've made a few mixes for the period of 1954-1979 of songs made in the US that were bigger successes in the UK but, at least for the period before the British invasion, it didn't produce much in the opposite direction (am including here just 4 British songs for the 6 year period I studied that were very well received in the US and didn't do as well in their native land). Because there were so few from the UK, I expanded the list to include anything outside of the US (with the exception of Canadian artists like The Crew-Cuts, The Diamonds, and Giselle MacKenzie). I also didn't include songs outside both the US & UK that did very well in both countries. So, here you go (all 27m47s worth) and that's all folks! This time frame is a musical wilderness for me. I was born a little later than 62 and never thoroughly explored music before that time except for some Joe Meek productions. Good to see the Danes doing well, putting the uppity Swedes in their place. Bent Fabric is such a great name for a band though I'm well aware that Bent is a popular first name in Denmark, not sure whether Fabric is so commonplace as a surname. Love this idea and your dedication to the charts.

Very well researched, as usual, I look forward to giving this a spin.

Very enjoyable mix Joe. Short but sweet! Particularly liked Bert Kaempfert, Ivo Robic & Bent Fabric. Very enlightening..
