Comment:
Maybe not, but it's a contender. More of an extended homage to simpler, happier times. I was gonna use Banhart's "Shabop Shalom", and it fits this context much better than any other song of his, but I've fallen in love with him over the last couple months, so using the gateway song that started it all just seemed a little too predictable for me, so I had to seek out another.Feedback:
This feels alright to me. Love the closer.
I'm not familiar with all the songs but I like this.
Very nice!
Dusty Springfield, The Monkees, Donovan and The Mamas and the Papas always make me feel good.
I'm feeling pretty good about this mix!
dude, shabop shalom is one of the funniest things i've heard in a while! barry louis polisar was key in my childhood. and i'm very partial to that belle and sebastian cut.
another fan of that Mamas & Papas song here. and I'm late to the Devendra Banhart bandwagon, but I'm feeling the same way. really beautiful/interesting stuff. this mix looks terrific.
