Comment:

Come xmas, come the Wob gig in Brighton. Wob is an oustandingly talented guitarist with an operatic voice. He'll suddenly burst into On The Street Where You Live while tuning his guitar then launch into a political song about the glory of charity shops dealing with wealth distribution and that sort of thing. One can only love a man who sings of the virtues of scavenging. Of course while in Brighton it is only right to delve deep into the racks of vinyl in a labyrinth of a shop called Snooper's Paradise. And what a haul. Several records I've been hunting for were unearthed at bargain prices. I saved myself hefty pounds on ebay. And Wob was in sparkling form, playing for nearly three hours and treating us to the odd Kylie cover and calling the Spice Girls corporate whores while passing around the mince pies, although one or two complained that they were not vegan mince pies. Factions appearing already, we'll never celebrate revolutionary triumph brothers. And this was a new mix I made for the journey.

Don't know much of these, but your comments are so wonderful that I certainly want to hear it (and Wog as well)

Merry Christmas to you both, and thanks for all the goodies you sent my way in '07 - hopefully more trades will happen in 2008. This looks great, it actually has quite a few I know on here, 2,5,10,12,14...

I dig the Bee Gees track and absolutely adore the Momus track, but no nothing else that I can see. That said, based upon those and on your other mixes, I'm sure this is dandy. Happy holidays to the both of you.

Looks lovely to me -- what I know anyway (W&B, Gall, Avo-8 State, Marden Hill, GAOB). Hope you and Kathryn had a wonderful London Christmas -- and wishing you both a splendid 2008.

Lovely, just lovely. Is the Wendy & Bonnie from the reissue or did you seriously find the original LP in a charity shop? Cuz that'd be c-razy.

It's a dream of mine to find the Wendy & Bonnie LP in a charity shop but alas it hasn't happened yet. The track is culled from the CD.
