Comment:

Um.Started by watching Southland Tales, the second film by the writer/director of Donnie Darko, and in the middle of the madness one sees Justin Timberlake lip-syncing the opening cut while he wanders through a video game parlor and is accompanied by a bevy of beauties doing a Busby Berkeley-does-The-Big-Lebowski-bowling-alley scene.Suffice to say, as I tend to avoid the radio, I had to grab my youngest (last at home, 18) and say "What the hell is this music?"He knew the song, but was little help, so I buzzed over to IMDB.com and did a soundtrack list. Ah. Mystery solved.Of course, it also used Pixies' Wave Of Mutilation (UK Surf), which I fell in love with when I heard it on the soundtrack of Pump Up The Volume.Anyway...So, a bud kinda popped up in my life again, and he asked me, "What are you doing Monday the 17th?"My response was something like "drrrr....dunno, why?""Well, I was going to head over to Fiddler's Hearth and have them pull a pint."Ah. DUH. "I'm in."I asked him if he'd heard The Killers that this opens with, he said no, and away I went.About a dozen cuts were cut from the mix, and what I ended up with has a bizarre "Pull me one more Guinness" attitude. As a background noise disc, I was quite pleased.Thank you for your attention.Total running time - 65:13

I've been curious about Southland Tales myself. Like #2-4, and that Ramones track is untouchable.

You have my attention.... Great 1-4 run to kick it off, and no let down from there.
