I read a news article that about 86% of Americans were dissatisfied with the direction of the country. That was the inspiration for this mix. Some of these songs, as you see, come from the RayGun/Bush I/Thatcher era. They still hold up today. Nor all of these songs are "Punk" per se, but have a punkish, contrarian spirit to them. As Mudhoney sings, "The past made no sense, the future looks tense."

Sadly, how little things have changed. Thanks for reminding us with this mix that the 80s did have some very pertinent music.
