Comment:
This is for Mallory. She was astonished to hear me reference Joy Division as "goth rock" and violently denied the idea, under the impression that the likes of Slipknot and others are goth. As it turns out, a good portion of her music collection just so happens to be goth oriented. I understand that many people are going to disagree with a few of my choices, but know that this mix encompasses Goth Rock, Death Rock, and Darkwave music . Anyhow, this mix is my personal exemplification, explanation, and interpretation of goth music. Enjoy. :]Feedback:
I don't disagree with any of your choices. This looks solid from top to bottom.
Generally not into "goth" as a musical genre, but Joy Division is definitely one of my all-time favorites. (And Digital makes for an awesome opener!)
However you classify it, some really great songs here: The Joy Division opener, Birthday Party, Echo & The Bunnymen, and Depeche Mode....
I think my nails are turning black just from reading the list here.
Just climbing into my coffin whilst my shroud gets dry cleaned.
I love the comments. I also love the mix. I am coincidentally listening to it right now! I feel so...so...*DARK!*
