Comment:

This is the first in an every-so-often series of new releases in jazz. Most of these albums appeared in March/April but due to problems with a) the website and b) my computer, the mix did not get completed until now. Nevertheless, there are some great albums represented here, many of which te_nd to slip past without notice. You can download the 2-disc set either as individual tracks or in continuous mix format.
To win a copy of this mix, tracked and with artwork, answer the quiz: Which musician here studied with and is a protege of drummer Jack DeJohnette?

Thanks for all the links, Dean. I want to say Pat Metheny, partly because he is my Guitar God, but also because they have collaborated already. Glad to see this playlist posted at last!

Fantastic covre, as usual. I would say something about the msuic, but I know nothing of jazz and nothing on here.

I only know Lerman, Schurr and Metheny, and look forward to getting to know the others. Lerman I have seen live twice, amazing both times, small clubs, and once he left the stage and literally attempted to blow me out of my seat. (He failed, but it was really, really touch and go.)

Haven't a clue when it comes to jazz as evidenced by the fact I only know Pat Metheney and even then I don't know the track.
