Comment:

Just two eliminations today...
136. Montrose - The Very Best Of Montrose [compilation] (2000)
137. Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans (1973)

Anyway, while finishing up my Christmas shopping this past weeken-d, I got two little items for myself: the motion picture soundtrack to The Crow (1994) (the original, of course, starring the late Brandon Lee) and a Ratt compilation called Ratt & Roll 8191 (1991). I included no less than three songs from the Crow soundtrack on this particular mix, and I also threw in my all-time favorite Ratt tune! Expect to see more from those discs in the near future...

Also...did you know that Ronnie Montrose originally wrote the song M For Machine as a possible theme song for the movie RoboCop (1987)?? :-) Originally the song was to be titled Murphy's Law (after the title ch-aracter, played by Peter Weller) and the chorus went: "M for Murphy / M for Mean / M for the Man / M for Machine!" But after that plan fell through - as these things often do - he rewrote the song, substituting the word "Mercy" for "Murphy" and retitling the song M For Machine!

I really like this mix. Excellent choice for first song. A lot of cool songs. About this software: the opposite of 'closed' is SO malicious :P.

By the way: hooray for tapes! Except when machines eat them :P.
