Comment:

Well, as you can plainly see, I'm certainly getting a lot of mileage from my newly-completed Quentin Tarantino soundtrack collection! :-)

"Mixed Up Shook Up Girl" / "Are You Lonely Tonight" - One song from Willy DeVille...and one cover of Willy DeVille (from reunion-era Hanoi Rocks)!

"Uncle John's Band" / "Ripple" - One song from the Grateful Dead...and one cover of the Grateful Dead (from Jane's Addiction)!

"Wild Honey Pie" / "Honey Pie" - Not exactly the two greatest tracks from the "White Album," but I figured...heck, why not get them both out of the way in one shot?!

"Chet's Speech" (dialogue) < "Pussy Walk" - OK, OK, OK...Yes, yes, I know! I know! This is WAAAAAAAYYY beneath me (ha, ha, ha)! But at the same time, this particular transition was like a God-given opportunity that I would definitely kick myself for passing up! Of course, just because you CAN do something, it doesn't necessarily follow that you SHOULD do that thing. But it's a done deal now, for better or worse! ;-)

"Would You Do Me A Favor?" (dialogue) < "Nude" (a.k.a. "Don't Get Any Big Ideas") - And come to think of it, this is kind of beneath me as well! But I just thought this little (hallucinated) exchange between Juliette Lewis and Quentin Tarantino from 1996's "From Dusk Till Dawn" would transition perfectly into the Radiohead song, with such lines as "Don't get any big ideas / They're not gonna happen / You'll go to hell / for what your dirty mind is thinking!" ;-)

And only one elimination today! (#214 - 9/21/09):
Starcastle - "Citadel" (1978)
