Comment:

Well, all I can say is...WOW!! This is nothing less than the THIRD DAY that I've tried to post this particular mix, with no success whatsoever the first two! I mean, what the heck's going on around here?! [*SIGH*] Well, at least I've got it down now! :-)

"She's Not There" / "About Her" - Presuming that anyone out there is familiar at all with Malcolm McLaren's remix/mashup of the Zombies' hit with Billie Holliday's "St. Louis Blues," then this absolutely requires no explanation whatosever...

"Cousin Kevin Model Child" < "Do You Think It's Alright?" (X 3) < "Cousin Kevin" / "Fiddle About" - Also requiring no explanation whatsoever, or at least not to those familiar with the Who's classic rock opera and Ken Russell's film version! And on a related note (see below)...

"Excelsior Song" - Paul Nicholas' second appearance here. He's the actor/performer who played Cousin Kevin in the 1975 film version of "Tommy" and then went on to cause Roger Daltrey even more pain and angst as a megalomaniacal comic-book supervillain version of composer Richard Wagner in "Lisztomania," director Ken Russell's immediate follow-up to "Tommy" (with Daltrey as Franz Liszt).

"Rocket" < "Rocket Ride" - Well, DUH!! ;-)

"I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" < "Singin' In The Rain" - The closing sequence for DISC #1. Two very different songs, but still in the same tempo and the same key!

"May It Be" < "Thru And Thru" - I've had this in mind for a closing sequence for quite some time now. Why, you ask? I dunno, just because, I suppose. I suppose it's got what I feel to be just the right combination of sentimentality (Enya) and grit (Keith Richards)! Or tenderness and toughness, if you will...
