i used to be way into jars of clay...and i hadn't listened to them for quite some time until recently when i went on this big jars kick...and i thought it'd be fun to make a cd of my personal favorite jars songs... this is what i came up with.... i also wanted to put frail on there. but couldn't find a good place to fit it.... i knew i had to end the cd with worlds apart.... i almost opened with frail, i like opening cds with a slow song or a song that builds up, like liquid, which i almost opened with... but i didn't because that's the first track on their first cd, so that would have been too easy... i love the transition from like a child to needful hands... while i was making this i didn't even notice the fact that i didn't use any demo versions of any songs, and i didn't use many b-side tracks. most of the tracks are from the self titled album....i found it hard to incorporate songs from much afraid, because though i love that album, it very much sets itself apart from their other stuff, it's very artsy and songs just didn't seem to want to fit anywhere. but i managed to get my two favorites in there.
the title is from my favourite jars song...love song for a saviour
