Comment:
"There are moments in all of us, or shall I say some of us, that must be lived in French," wrote Djuna Barnes. And because of this necessity we find moments lived in French throughout the globe: America, England, Germany, Brazil, Kenya, Norway, Japan...This is a 2 CD collection of French moments in song - "Oui Non" being a compilation of songs sung by native French singers, be it in Parisian French, Canadian French, African French or Creole French, and "We Know" being a selection of songs sung by visitors to the French language be it in fluent Francais or in barbarized Franglais.
And style? There's plenty of it - from 60's French pop to reggae to folk to avant garde to Breton to electronica to zydeco. This is a compilation that has been 6 months in the making - and I hope that it shows!
Feedback:
this is absolutely stunning. the line for trades starts here, ladies and gentlemen....
Fantastic as always Brian!
really good concept and execution here...excellent stuff!
There's a coolish Canadian band that you may or may not have heard of called Big Sugar..they sing in English but they've released an EP in french as well as a limited release of their last CD in French as well...one of if not the only Canadian non-french speaking band to release anything in French.

Oooh! Cool! Thanks, Geoff! That's perfect - I'll definitely have to check them out. Thanks a ton for the tip!
stereo total would fit on here really, really nicely as well.
