Why is there no metal category? This certainly isn't a hardcore compilation...probably should have just put it in the Depression category. It encompasses some of my favorites in death metal, grind, gore, thrash, and black metal from 1988 to the present. Most of the bands are from outside of the U.S. and a good seven of them have prominent female members. Had trouble deciding whether to end with Monstrosity's cover of Angel of Death (Slayer) or Cephalic Carnage's cover of Jesus Saves (Slayer), but chose to go with the former so I could put some older C.C. on. The tape was originally intended for my friend Nick, but I ended up giving it out to a whole bunch of people.
