Comment:
Sure, you're going to have to return to reality eventually, but linger at the spa for just a moment more with three generations of master musicians easing your transition back into the day-to-day. At the comparatively tender age of 24, and with only a single album yet to her name, Priscilla Ahn breezes through the afternoon sky like a butterfly cloud made of spun sugar in "Lullaby." Norwegian duo Royksopp knows a thing or two about chill, but rather than plowing the austere, otherworldly musical landscape inhabited by fellow Arctic Circle residents Sigur Rós, their "In Space" cascades down in a gentle rainfall of techno tranquility. And just over half-a-century ago, jazz pianist Bill Evans laid out the roadmap to the new age with an elegant, minimalist two-chord improv that he called, simply — and oh-so-appropriately — "Peace Piece." (And if you think you don't like jazz, this will absolutely change your mind.)
