Comment:
In Deep Cuts, we're stepping away from our earlier solo stylings to strike up the band — make that bands — that set the airwaves ablaze. And when it comes to country bands, they just don't make 'em bigger than Alabama, who positively shimmer with an unexpected jangle-pop sparkle in "Keepin' Up," originally released as a bonus track from the For the Record compilation, which boasts 41 chart-topping hits. If you're hankerin' for the sound of close-harmony vocals riding shotgun beside guitars that ring out like a Sunday-go-to-meetin' bell, BlackHawk delivers the goods in "There You Have It." And who ever would've guessed that Yankee Grey once called Cincinnati(!) its home after hearing the sextet's fire-fingered fiddlin' on its debut single, "All Things Considered."
