Comment:
Friends getting married this summer wanted to do a book with thoughts on love and marriage. I gave them this as my contribution.Feedback:
Some very nice choices for yet another excellent mix. Keep 'em coming!
This really is lovely.
Beautiful! Gods bless LOVE!
Really nice. Love the Burl Ives, Louis Armstron/Ella Fitzgerald and Richard Thompson picks especially.
Another terrific mix! Welcome to AotM.
My name is Jeff! Do I get a copy? :)
Excellent! Great choice on the Ely / Hancock song.
my god, this is beauteous. love that julie london track.
Totally impressed with the attention to detail on your discography. Hardly anyone goves proper credit to songwriters. Marriage is wonderful but your song selections are a little schmaltzy; could I suggest "It's The Little Things" by Stephen Sondheim, or "You're The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly" by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty.
Great job! These kind of romantic discs tend to either take a cynical turn or just get cheesy and over sappy, but I think that this one works from start to finish. Extra points for finding a Richard Thompson song that is pro relationship without being ironic.
really nice!
most excellent
sweet.
I really like this! Some friends of mine are getting married soon... I was wondering if I could get a copy perhaps? I will trade you for something.
A refreshing mix that dares to be both dead serious and whimsical. Nice, too, to see so many duets here. I love that Dinah Washington/Brooke Benton number! Shame I didn't have this mix on hand at my own wedding, when I was far too nervous to even think about making a mix of my own...
