Comment:
This one's been in the hopper for quite some time, but I finally got around to completing it.The idea here was to have a great mix for driving around suburban Philadelphia late at night during the last few weeks of summer, before heading back to school, but one thing lead to another and I moved down to suburban DC permanantly and graduated college.
My friends had similar moving away experiences and these mixes now are nothing more than reminders of those late summer late nights that I longed to have more of. THe kind of night that hints at the approaching autumn, but you don't want to end becuase you're just so mellowed out from a summer of no school.
It saddens me to realize that what used to be a magical/bittersweet time of the year is just like any other time of the year to me now; I have a full-time job and I can't hang out with my friends from high school late into the evening driving aimlessly, partying, and generally just enjoying some of the best years of our lives together.
Did I classify this as sleep? Maybe it should be depressing, instead...
