It’s “Finally Friday” sings George “Possum” Jones on his classic-country cheer, but retro rockers Jason & The Scorchers aren’t satisfied with the usual two days off — they need “One More Day of Weekend,” and the beauty part is, on Labor Day they get it. Brave Combo is so happy about “No Work Today,” they’re stirring up some polkalicious merrymaking, while Jet and Weezer celebrate their own September “Holiday” with pulsating alterna-rock. Too much holiday cheer? We won’t tell if Tuesday rolls around and you make like Albert King and “Call My Job” to say you won’t be in.
