Comment:

The alltime classic concept of a mixtape/mixcd of alternating dj's. Odd numbered selections are chosen by my friend and even numbered selections by me. This mixcd runs in a little more than 74 mins with only 12 tracks because some of the selections are quite lengthy (The ORb, Neu!, Kraftwerk, etc). This comp ranges from early 70's ambient & krautrock up to modern electronica, making also some passes through 90's ambient, neo-psychedelia and even modern space rock.

Track by track analysis:
1. From "Neu!'72" the absolute "motorik" track
2. A small (only 1 1/2 min) modern krautrock/ambient shot from MBV's mastermind.
3. From "Selected Ambient Works 85-92". Aphex Twin at his best and less harsh than later releases.
4. Ambient techno track from 1993.
5. A Brian Eno track from his most acclaimed album "Another Green World".
6. A collaboration between a guitarist and a sound engineer. An eerie experimental track.
7. A neo-psychedelia fine piece from the debut lp of Kingsbury Manx.
8. From the early period of Spiritualized. A very weird version with no vocals taken from the 2-cd compilation "The Complete Works Vol.1".
9. Classic early-90's ambient from Dr.Alex Patterson.
10. Norwegian ambient circa 1994-5
11. From the "ISDN" album. (1994)
12. The opening track of "Trans-Europe Express" (1977)..."Elegance and Decadence, Europe Endless"

I think also it's one of the few mixcds with "alternating dj's" category intentionally entered and not because of the bug described in the "community".
