sometimes i like to make sure that songs by the same band don't touch each other on a mix. obviously, this was not one such mix. the doubled up songs are often little tiny short song leading into longer piece, though, and in general the mix seems to flow very well.but i'm really overusing that frolic song.what can i say? i like frolic.in the spirit of ben's "howard street" mix, i wanted to make a cd that sort of broke with my patterns of ambient, low-key and meloncholy. i leaned hard on the tess records catalog, heavens, i miss tess. whatever happened to autumn, i wonder?
