Comment:
Latin jazz. It's a jazz sub-set I usually like in small doses, but the variety here keeps it all interesting for me - interesting enough, in fact, for two installments. There are a few folks who aren't technically `jazz' musicians (Ry Cooder on Vol. 1, The Friends of Dean Martinez on Vol. 2), but there isn't a track on these two mixes I don't think fits.Feedback:
Very, very nice. Love most, but really like the Marc Ribot, Part of the variety comes from having both Brazilian & Cuban based jazz in here.
Great artists-not familar with the songs.
I didn't know that one note would be sufficient for a samba, but this all looks great. Nice Latin flavor all the way.
Great Horace Silver, Charlie Byrd, & Wayne Shorter picks. That Ry Cooder/Manual Galban album is an instant classic.
