Comment:
Hello, fellow Space Rangers...Here's, finally, a follow up to my Voyage to the End of the Universe...Blends some galactic surf, spacey soundtrack, some cosmic psych, rocketing rockabilly and other outer-orbit obsuros. Hope this one sends you all into orbit!
And don't forget the creed: "I {insert name and rank} in the Captain Video Space Ranger Academy, Do solemly swear to obey my mommy and daddy, not to tease my little brother sisters, to be kind to dumb animals and old ladies, in and out of space, to brush my teeth twice a day and to drink milk after every meal.!"
Feedback:
Mr. Gnome, this is incredible. Makes me wanna get down like a globbot.
Far out - literally!
The Ventures and Lex Baxter tracks are killer, so is this whole album.
This is Such Fun! Superlative cover, and superlative obscurata! It'll be on my favorites list!
This looks like one hell of an inter-galactic trip, tres cool!
"Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids, In fact it's cold as hell, And there's no one there to raise them if you did..."
Out-of-this-world mix!
Out-of-this-world mix!
This is great - I'd love to hear both cd's. Did one of these a while back for my astronomy classes. This would be a blast to play for them, too.
Now this goes straight to the top of MY want list. Truly exceptional.
just what thomas said, exactly
A trip to the Outer Spaceways! Punch my magic ticket and shout "All aboard!" (Great Cosmic Jokers pick! And the Linn County, too...right mid-trip. No one'll be asking "are we there yet?" More like: "let's go AGAIN!")
Hallo musicgnome... you're sleepy now
Nice foray into the final frontier.
Nice foray into the final frontier.
Sweeter than sweet, Chris, as is Volume I. I love that Ventures album (especially the note on the cover that, "all of these unusual and other-worldly sounds have been created with musical instruments rather than electronic gimmicks."
Fun without end; a stellar mix!
AH, cosmic revealing awareness. In space no-one can hear you...well, at all actually. Would like to listen to this on Earth then. A trade would be just the ticket, but what do I have to offer. Great work, musicgnome. Love the notes and informative tracklisting. I cannot compete, at least not in this galaxy. Transmission ends...
A true cosmic delight! Nice surf selections, and good to see John Barry & Ed Wood (!) on here as well. Very inventive mix!
I'm with T. Mohr. This is out of this world!
Outta site, spaceman! You're winning the space race. Love the CD package too. Now I gotta go brush my pearly whites and drink a martini -- I mean milk
Exceptional!
Orbital,& beyond. Might I be so bold as to add my name to the list for this one.
This looks crazy... in the best way...
Beam me up, er, uhm, Chris. This is very cool.
Space IS the place! This looks right up my alley, good sir. Very nice.
I loved the space age.
Nothing would give me greater pleasure musicgnome than to hand over the baton to you this friday morning. An exceptional mix, and if there is a list please add my me to it.
Even the Barbarella soundtrack? What a trip!
Top notch an MOTW from me!
I think the space references and puns have been exhausted, so I will just say: this is a great mix.
Uber cool.
This is really fantastic! Great selections - especially John Barry! - and great fun.
THIS IS FOOKIN' AWESOME!!!
How do I get my hands on the two volumes?!!?
How do I get my hands on the two volumes?!!?
Wow, Wow, Wow! This is an unbelievable mix, ditto Dom1' s sentiments this is definite MOTW materia
Looks very, very cool, Chris.
Yeah....this is definitive work. I'd love to produce a flick for this. Too many stars in the universe, but you get my five.
